KSPR 33 in Springfield held a two-hour telethon to give away the local 2009 St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Dream Home. Kevin & Patricia Sutton, from Nixa, MO, won the home Sunday for just $100.
The Suttons' name was drawn from thousands of entries in the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. The giveaway raised $471,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The $375,000 home in the Lions Gate subdivision was built by the HBA Charitable Foundation and Sam Bradley Homes.
People often refer to a particular house as a "Dream Home", but this is a home that truly works to make dreams come true. The 2009 St. Jude Dream Home is a collaborative project of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the HBA's Charitable Foundation, Sam Bradley Homes and Lions Gate subdivision. This beautiful home is part of a unique fund-raising initiative that helps children from our area receive the critical care they need, regardless of the ability to pay, from a world-class hospital created just for them.
This four bedroom, three bath home designed by Design Basics features "Women Centric Design". That means it has family friendly features like the rear foyer with desk, organizer cabinetry and cubbies, plus a place to stash those backpacks and muddy shoes. It has upstairs and downstairs laundry rooms, an outdoor kitchen with gas grill, hand-scraped walnut wood floors and two screened patios. It will be friendly to the pocketbook to live in with a high-efficiency HVAC system and a tankless water heater. Besides being functional, it is a truly beautiful home -- you've got to see the corner stone fireplace and the specialty designed ceiling in the family room.
This home could be yours! A $100 ticket supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and gives you a chance to win this Dream Home! Click here to visit the St. Jude website and reserve your ticket online or see a list of local locations for tickets.
